I’m an MLIS candidate at Pratt Institute with a background in sound design, film, and audiovisual production. My work is driven by an interest in how we preserve, organize, and make meaning from the materials that tell our stories.

 

Before pursuing librarianship and archival work, I worked in sound design and audiovisual production, developing experience in recording, editing, mixing, post-production, and the organization of large collections of audio and video assets. That background has shaped my interest in audiovisual archives, digital collections, metadata, preservation, and digital accessibility.

 

I’m particularly interested in the challenges of caring for audiovisual and born-digital materials—how they are documented, organized, preserved, and ultimately made accessible to the people who need them. I’m drawn to work that combines technical knowledge with research, organization, and storytelling.

 

Alongside my work in libraries and archives, I continue to write fiction and develop creative projects. I see these interests as complementary: whether I’m working with an archival collection, an audiovisual project, or a piece of writing, I’m interested in the same fundamental question—how do we preserve stories, and how do we help others find and experience them?
